Hunters HD Gold Launches New "Command Center Experience" Era with Successful Debut at Doc Welt Memorial Championship
After four successful years, the Hunters HD Gold Magical Mystery Tour has officially concluded, giving way to an exciting new chapter: the Hunters HD Gold Command Center Experience.
The upgraded mobile platform made its debut this past weekend at the 14th Annual Gary "Doc" Welt Memorial Match, held at the Wyoming Antelope Club just outside Clearwater, Florida. What began in 2020 as a modest setup, an 8-foot workspace in the back of a Mercedes Sprinter van for showcasing custom builds, offering basic firearm support, and hosting the popular Behind the Lens podcast, evolved into a cornerstone of the competitive shooting community. The van and podcast served as a central gathering point at matches across the United States, fostering relationships and supporting shooters for four years.
In mid-2025, the platform expanded into live-stream coverage and commentary, with support from USPSA's Marketing and Events Coordinator Jake Martens. By late 2025, owner Brian Conley envisioned taking the experience to the next level. In November 2025, he sold the Sprinter van and invested in a custom-built covered trailer paired with a dedicated golf cart to create a more professional, efficient, and shooter-focused hub. The transition involved rapid planning and execution. Conley sourced a trailer from a local retailer near his home in Pelham, Alabama, and selected a mint-condition 2013 Yamaha golf cart. Audio Creations, a longtime partner known for custom vehicle builds, handled the full outfitting of the trailer, including a complete shelving and workbench system, slat walls, enhanced lighting, cameras, a premium stereo, and hidden wiring for seamless live streaming from the golf cart.
Strategic partnerships elevated the Hunters HD Gold Command Center Experience into a comprehensive support hub for competitive shooters:
- Real Avid stocked a dedicated Safe Area with tools and products for on-site firearm maintenance.
- Vortex Optics designated the Hunters HD Gold Command Center Experience as an official on-site Vortex VIP Experience, allowing shooters to receive immediate warranty exchanges for failed optics using professional tools, getting competitors back in the match quickly.
- Ghost Holsters USA, FPS Holsters, SpeedBeez, Lok Grips, IWI, Sensguard, JV Training Accessories and Imperial Roots contributed products for display and demonstration.
- JJFU Brew (from Jesse James) provides free coffee to visitors.
- POV Nutrition supplies shooter-specific hydration.
- Super Vel Ammunition ensures on-site ammo support when needed.
- MBX Extreme and Atlas Gun Works magazines are available for purchase.
Hunters HD Gold eyewear, including the signature Hunters HD Gold lenses and new AktiveBlu line, remain central to the experience, with Conley available for orders and fittings.
At the Doc Welt Memorial, the new setup proved an immediate success. Conley, pulling a trailer for the first time at age 55, traveled over 1,200 miles and handled the learning curve with enthusiasm reminiscent of his early days in 2018. The Hunters HD Gold Command Center Experience now serves as the ultimate "home base" for competitive shooters, offering gear support, live streaming on the Hunters HD Gold Rumble channel (morning and afternoon sessions), free coffee, demos, and a welcoming community atmosphere.
